Full-size pickup trucks with enhanced off-road capabilities remain highly popular, which is why Ram has just officially announced the return of the 1500 Rebel X for 2026 — news that is sure to please off-road driving enthusiasts.
This version stands out from the others thanks to its Bilstein shocks and lifted suspension setup. The model rides on 33-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch wheels. Standard equipment on the Ram 1500 Rebel X also includes an electronic locking rear differential and skid plates. The exterior design is enhanced by Rebel X graphics. The American manufacturer has also added a new Tank Clear-Coat color — a military-inspired green — to complete the truck’s look for this year.
A Powerful Engine
Powering the 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel X is none other than the legendary Hurricane engine. It is a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque.
Among the technologies offered on this version of the Ram 1500 is an off-road cruise control system that allows the truck to maintain a speed of under 32 km/h (20 mph), which is ideal for more challenging terrain.
Its cabin is far from basic. It features a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, leather sport seats with red stitching, as well as a massive 14.5-inch touchscreen. The instrument cluster is displayed on a 12.3-inch screen. A premium Harman Kardon audio system is also part of the package.
As you might expect, the 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel X does not come cheap. Pricing starts at $91,175 in Canada.
Here to Stay
Introduced for the 2025 model year as a special edition, the Ram 1500 Rebel X was a tremendous success. As a result, its return to the lineup for 2026 comes as no surprise. This high-end, off-road-oriented version makes no compromises — and that is ultimately what makes it so compelling.
